Terms of Service

The short version

  • Everything is free and run by volunteers. It is provided as it is, and it can change or stop.
  • Follow Discord's rules and don't use our bots to harm, spam or harass anyone.
  • If you add a bot to your server, you are responsible for how it is set up there.
  • We can block users or servers that abuse the services.

1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use the website 513th.se or add or use one of the Discord bots made by 513th Frog Battalion ("513th", "we", "us"): 513th Support,513th Town Crier, 513th VC Manager and F.R.O.G.(together, "the services"). By using the services, or by adding a bot to a Discord server, you agree to these terms.

How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

2. The services

The services are free and non-commercial. They are built and run by volunteers in their spare time on our own hardware. We may add, change, limit or remove features, or shut down a bot, at any time and without notice. Some features have limits (for example how many streamers or voice hubs a server can have) to keep things running for everyone.

3. Discord and other platforms

Our bots run on Discord, so you must also follow Discord'sTerms of Service andCommunity Guidelines. Town Crier uses content from Twitch, YouTube, Kick and RSS sources. Their own terms apply to that content.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use the services to:

  • harass, threaten, spam or mass-ping people, or spread hateful, illegal or sexual content involving minors;
  • break the law or anyone else's rights, including copyright;
  • attack, overload, scan or try to get unauthorised access to our servers, website, APIs or databases;
  • get around limits, bans or permissions, or pretend to be someone else (including 513th staff);
  • add RSS feeds or links that point to malware, phishing, scams or illegal content;
  • copy, resell or automate access to the services in ways they were not made for.

5. If you add a bot to your server

  • You must be allowed to add bots to that server (owner, Administrator or Manage Server).
  • You are responsible for the bot's settings in your server and for what it posts there because of those settings (texts, pings, feeds, roles).
  • Tell your members which features you use that store information about them, especially statistics, logging and moderation. Our Privacy Policy describes what each bot stores and you can link to it.
  • Give the bots only the permissions they need. If you take permissions away, some features stop working.
  • You can remove a bot at any time by kicking it from your server. Ask us if you also want the server's stored data deleted.

6. Bot-specific terms

These come on top of everything else on this page.

6.1 513th Support

  • Used only on the 513th Discord server, for applications, support cases and squadron announcements.
  • Ticket channels are private between you and 513th staff. Be honest and respectful. Troll or spam tickets are deleted.
  • Staff decide when a ticket is closed and what the outcome is.

6.2 513th Town Crier

  • Only add streamers and feeds your community actually wants. Don't use the bot to advertise or spam.
  • Posts can arrive late or be missed if Twitch, YouTube, Kick or a feed is slow or down. YouTube and Kick are checked about every five minutes.
  • The titles, images and text in posts belong to their creators. We only show what their platforms publish.
  • Feed addresses must be public websites. Addresses inside private networks are refused.

6.3 513th VC Manager

  • The person who creates a temporary channel controls it (lock, hide, limit, kick, permit). Use those controls fairly.
  • Server staff with Discord's own permissions can always override channel owners.
  • Temporary channels and their chat are deleted when they are empty. Don't keep anything important in them.
  • Discord limits how often a channel can be renamed, so names may not change immediately.

6.4 F.R.O.G.

  • F.R.O.G. is a tool for the server's own moderators. Every moderation decision is made by that server's staff, not by 513th.
  • Automod and alt detection can be wrong. Alt detection only flags accounts for moderators to look at and never bans anyone by itself.
  • Appeals about a ban, warning or other action go to the moderators of that server, not to us.
  • Giveaways run with F.R.O.G. are organised by the server, which is responsible for the prizes and for following local rules.

7. Applications and squadron membership

  • Sending an application does not guarantee a place. Our recruiters decide, and we don't always explain why.
  • Applicants are checked against shared community lists of players reported for bad behaviour.
  • Members are expected to follow the squadron's rules on our Discord server. Officers can remove members who don't.

8. Your content

What you write in forms, tickets and bot settings stays yours. You give us permission to store, show and process it as needed to run the services, as described in the Privacy Policy. Don't submit anything you don't have the right to share.

The website's design, texts, images and the bots' code belong to 513th unless stated otherwise.

9. Suspension and ending

We can block a user or a Discord server from the services, remove a bot from a server or delete content that breaks these terms, without notice. You can stop using the services at any time.

10. No guarantees

The services are provided "as is" and "as available". We do our best, but we don't promise that they are always online, error-free or that posts, statistics or moderation logs are complete. Keep your own copy of anything important.

11. Liability

As far as the law allows, 513th and its volunteers are not liable for indirect damage or loss caused by using or not being able to use the services, for example lost data, missed posts or actions taken by a server's moderators. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

12. Not affiliated

513th is not affiliated with or endorsed by Gaijin Entertainment, Discord, Twitch, Google/YouTube, Kick or Valve. War Thunder is a trademark of Gaijin Entertainment. Other names and logos belong to their owners.

13. Law and changes

These terms are governed by Swedish law. We may update them, and the date at the top shows the latest version. Bigger changes are also announced on our Discord server. If you keep using the services after a change, the new terms apply.
